Why Universities Should Associate with Sambal?

The Sambal Foundation gives students the chance to engage in real-world job situations and scenarios that will help them develop their skills while cultivating social sensitivity.

To build a society that embraces the suffering of the underprivileged and is ready to provide love, care, and an extended hand of support to help them stand tall once more, Sambal organizes workshops and activities at old age homes in conjunction with the universities. Additionally, it aspires to lead the next generation toward a just, empowered, and sustainable society that is fuelled by compassion and understanding.

Sambal will register students and assist them in reporting their 30 hours of social work as part of this initiative. Every action they take to benefit society will earn them 30 hours of credit, which will be reflected on their resume and may help them stand out from the competition.

Projects We Did

Projects We Did

The Karuna Project is a programme where we provide students the chance to experience a real-world workplace and situations that will help them develop their skills while also cultivating social empathy in them.

In order to build a society that embraces the suffering of the underprivileged and is prepared to offer love, care, and an extended hand of support to help them stand tall once more, Sambal Foundation collaborates with university volunteers to arrange activities and seminars at the old age home. We also want to show young people the way toward a just, empowered, and sustainable society that is fuelled by compassion and understanding.

As part of this initiative, students can form teams among themselves to coordinate events, workshops, and webinars, as well as to create volunteer opportunities for other students at their university or college. This will foster the students’ sense of “Karuna,” or “Empathy,” as well as urge additional students to take part in the effort.

Sambal seeks to achieve not just equality but also equity, ensuring that everyone receives what they are due, regardless of gender.
It was a beautifully designed event called Mere Papa Mere Sambal where fathers and father figures were honored, sympathised with, showered with love and care, and made to understand that they can be as sensitive and expressive as they choose to be. They wouldn’t face criticism, only love and acceptance for who they are as people, and appreciation for the unending support they have given.

Sambal Ambassadors, who are young volunteers for the Sambal Foundation, were assigned the task of organizing and running the entire event. The Sambal Foundation used this event to demonstrate the benefits of democracy and decentralization by giving the kids who had received training as part of Youth Empowerment the chance to manage such a significant event.

Volunteers from the mass communication department of Amity University and the Sambal Foundation organized “Sambal Riti” at the government-run nursing home “Apna Ghar.” Children with special needs are also catered to by Apna Ghar, which helps them develop the social skills and attitudes that will eventually enable them to integrate into society. Sambal has already occasionally helped “Apna Ghar” by giving them access to life skills training that gives the Prabhujis (the recipients, known as Prabhuji at Apna Ghar) emotional, moral, and financial empowerment. Prabhujis get emotional strength and become aware of their importance as contributors when they are involved in the creation of anything new.

To highlight the innovatively designed goods by Prabhujis, a cultural event was specially planned. The goal was to properly acknowledge the Prabhujis and make the world aware of their talent and value.
